We stayed here just one night, but included a wine tasting tour. The staff was very friendly and when we arrived half an hour after time, they called and gave detailed instructions how to get our keys and find our room. We had a comfortable room and bathroom, including an open shower and plenty of wash utensils (even body lotion and a good hair dryer). The resort is beautiful at night, even in the rain. We were lucky to have a rain-free autumn day afterwards and took a walk around the stunning vineyards. The breakfast was one of the best we have had so far in a hotel, with friendly staff and a great selection of cakes, eggs, bacon, bread, and oats. We highly recommend the wine tour, as the cellar is really something special, even compared to other wine cellars. The tasting was fun and our host made an effort to explain everything about the wine, vinyards, and history of the place, while keeping a relaxed atmosphere.

This place was amazing! We booked a superior room, which was so romantic and cozy - we couldn’t have asked for more. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, which included everything from homemade bread and cakes to delicious fruit, salami, and cheese. There are many scenic roads nearby, perfect for walking while taking in the fresh air, stunning views, and beautiful autumn colors. During our stay, we also booked a wine tasting tour, which was lovely - such great wines! We tried the wine pairing dinner as well, but we felt it could have been better. While it started off strong, it ended on a slightly average note (we often eat out, so our standards are quite high). All in all, this place was fantastic - 10/10, we highly recommend it!

Room was wonderful, very unique in a small, historic town. We loved the massive beam going through the center of the room, the windows looking out on the garden, and the bath tub with a garden view. Every last detail was perfect, it was an incredibly romantic and quiet property. The property was spread out and guests had their own private space, so much so that we only realized how many other guests were also at the property when we arrived at breakfast. We wish we would have booked a full week here, it was so wonderful! The breakfast was also fresh and wonderful, with high quality pastry and yogurt and perfectly cooked and seasoned eggs. As a bonus - the history of the family that owns this estate was fascinating, we loved learning about it all.

Castillo do Fonterutoli was a delightful surprise in our travels in Italy. Staying in a hotel built in 1435 was beyond our expectations, with a room that was charming while supplying all the necessities of a relaxing stay. So much history, along with great hospitality from the staff, including the bar and restaurant on the premises made our stay so rewarding. We enjoyed our three night stay immensely, and will recommend this charming hotel to anyone traveling thru Tuscany, along with the wine tasting available at the winery. Highly recommend.

This place (which is actually a hamlet) is amazing. The bedrooms are spacious and beautiful. There is a huge library with so many varieties of books in the living room of the building where our rooms are. Everywhere you look it's so pretty, peaceful and elegant. When they told me the swimming pool is 3km away, I thought wow that's far, but when we arrived there, it's so worth the visit. The view is breathtaking.
